/ 18 March 2021

TO SUPPORT the mental health and provide psychological support of young learners, the Bangsamoro Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education has rolled out a television program for elementary students.

The ministry’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Services launched “TALA: Tuklasin, Alamin, Likhain at Alalahanin” to develop children’s social-emotional learning.

“Through music, storytelling segments, and art activities, this child-friendly program aims to ensure the proper development of children’s social-emotional learning,” BMBHTE said on Facebook.

“Each episode aims to discuss different social-emotional learning themes such as identifying and recognizing children’s emotions and strengths; building their self-esteem and self-efficacy; and recognizing relationships between their family peers, and communities during the pandemic,” it added.

The ministry encouraged its employees to invite all elementary learners and their parents to watch the program that airs  every Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.

It can also be viewed on the DepEd’s Facebook page and YouTube Channel from 8 a.m to 8:30 a.m.
