7 SCHOOLS IN BACOLOD CITY APPLY FOR F2F CLASSES

/ 19 March 2022

SEVEN more schools in Bacolod City have applied to be allowed to conduct face-to-face classes.

These are the Apolinario Mabini Elementary School, Cabug National High School, Negros Occidental High School, Emilia J. Garcia Elementary School, Romanito Maravilla Jr. National High School, Handumanan Elementary School I, and Luis Hervias National High School.

Councilor Renecito Novero, chairman of the city council’s committee on education,  said that the list of schools had been submitted to them for approval.

“We need to endorse it to the Emergency Operations Center-Task Force led by Mayor Evelio Leonardia,” he said.

Once their applications are approved, the schools can have their own arrangement or schedule for the conduct of classes, Novero said.

About 70 public elementary and secondary schools in Bacolod have indicated their intention to conduct physical classes, according to Dr. Chris Sorongon, deputy for medical data and analysis of the Emergency Operations Center-Task Force.
