1,600 MANDAUE TEACHERS TO UNDERGO TRAINING FOR NATIONAL ELECTIONS

SOME 1,600 teachers in Mandaue City will undergo training in preparation for the May 2022 elections.

DepEd Mandaue City spokesperson Atty. Marinel Oro said electoral board members, DepEd Supervising Officer, technicians, and support personnel, among others will be trained.

Commission on Elections will administer the training which will be in batches, with each batch to be trained for two days.

According to Oro, Mandaue City has 321 clustered precincts, each of which would have at least three employees assigned.

For voting by Persons Deprived of Liberty, a separate team will be assigned to serve as members of the electoral board.

In accordance with the Comelec mandate, Oro said they chose DepEd staff who are fully vaccinated and free of comorbidities to serve in the polls.
