YOUNG FILIPINO ENTREPRENEURS TO ATTEND FORUM IN RUSSIA

/ 29 August 2021

FIVE young Filipino entrepreneurs will travel to Vladivostok, Russia to attend the Eastern Economic Forum from September 2 to 4.

They include Asia-Pacific Low Carbon Lifestyle Challenge winner Pamela Nicole Mejia, Daniel Hugo Santos, Gerald Perry Marin and Rash Dilangalen.

“We at the National Youth Commission take pride in having young Filipino entrepreneurs participate in this event,” NYC Chairperson Ryan Enriquez said.

“These young entrepreneurs’ exchange is one of the topics discussed during the bilateral meeting that the NYC officials and the representatives of the Russian Federation participated in. It coincided with the Philippines’ hosting of the Sixth ASEAN Russia Youth Summit in Manila in 2019,” he added.

The students will share their knowledge on topics such as Fruits and Vegetables, Sustainable Tourism, Gourmet Fish (Sarangani), Online Education-Filipino Culture, Sustainable Fashion and SDG Builders (Sustainability Development Group – my Basilan project).

“They will be joined by counterparts from around the world in plenary sessions, dialogues, exhibits, discussions and other events that expand international cooperation in the Asia-Pacific while supporting the economic growth of Russia’s Far East Federation,” NYC said.

Friends for Leadership is a global network of young leaders and entrepreneurs who share the best SDG practices and solutions worldwide. It conducts trainings and networking sessions based on sustainable development.

The Philippine-Russian Business Assembly, on the other hand, drives business relations between the Philippines and Russia.
