EDUCATION Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio has turned over a two-classroom building in Cristo Elementary School Donsol, Sorsogon.

The turnover also included tables, chairs, classroom boards, and the Philippine Flag.

The said school is among the buildings in the Last Mile Schools Program of the Department of Education.

According to DepEd, the program aims to address the gaps in resources and facilities of schools that are in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.

“Pinaalala ko sa mga estudyante doon na mag-aral silang mabuti at magtapos dahil ang edukasyon ang susi sa pagbabago ng kanilang buhay,” Duterte-Carpio said.

The Vice President also said that she had talked with the parents and asked them to tell their children the importance of education.

“Ito ang magpapabago ng buhay nila at magbigay ng matatag, masagana at masayang buhay sa kanila at kanilang mga pamilya,” she said.
