EDUCATION Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio recognized the teachers following the result of the survey conducted by OCTA Research which showed the Department of Education was the most trusted government agency.

“Ang pagkilala na ito ay ang pagkilala sa dedikasyon at puso sa serbisyo publiko ng ating mga guro, kawani, parents’ support groups, private partners at stakeholders na nagkakaisang tuparin at buuin ang pangarap ng bawat batang Pilipino,” Duterte-Carpio said in a statement.

“Kaya naman, nais kong magbigay-pugay sa lahat ng ating mga guro, kawani at partners na palaging bukas-palad na maglilingkod sa bayan,” she added.

In the third quarter of 2023, DepEd ranked highest among government agencies in terms of both performance and trust, according to the OCTA Research Tugon ng Masa poll.

Overall performance for DepEd was rated at 80 percent and 79 percent trust rating.

The Vice President also expressed her gratitude to the public for their trust to the agency, adding it is an honor to the agency to be recognized as the ‘Most Trusted and Top Performing Government Agency.’

“Dapat po nating tandaan na hindi ito makakamit ng nag-iisang namumuno o ng iilang tao lamang sa Kagawaran. Ito ay bunga ng kapit-bisig na pagtutulungan at pinagsama-samang kakayahan tungo sa iisang mithiin ng mga taong may pagmamahal sa bansa,” Duterte-Carpio added.
