VACCINATION RATE IN HEIs CONTINUES TO INCREASE

/ 15 January 2022

THE COMMISSION on Higher Education said that 60 percent of students and 85 percent of teachers and staff in Higher Education Institutions have been vaccinated against Covid19.

The CHED chief also bared that HEIs that will hold limited face-to-face classes this month have a 95 percent inoculation rate.

These institutions have retrofitted their facilities but are waiting for the surge in Covid19 cases to subside before holding classes in school.

On Tuesday, the commission announced that Phase 2 of the implementation of limited in-person classes in all HEIs areas under Alert Level 3 can begin on January 31.

Meanwhile, universities and colleges in areas under Alert Level 2 may start F2F classes anytime.
