UPLB STUDENT TOPS ELECTRICAL ENGINEER LICENSURE EXAM

A STUDENT at the University of the Philippines-Los Baños topped the Electrical Engineer Licensure Exam given by the Professional Regulation Commission last month.

Rob Christian Magdayo Caduyac led the successful examinees with a rating of 91.70 percent.

He was followed by Bienvenido Barrameda To, Jr. of Malayan Colleges Laguna with a score of 90.05 percent, and Jasper Biboso Gementiza of Northwest Samar State University-Calbayog with 89.55 percent.

PRC said 3,029 out of the 5,567 passed the exam.

The top performing school with 50 or more examinees with at least 80 percent passing percentage are UPLB (96.23); Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (87.50); Bohol Island State University-Tagbiliran (85.29); University of Batangas (83.04); and Mapua University (80.65).

The commission also announced the results of the Master Electrician Licensure Examination.

Rodriner Casugbo Billiones of Capiz State University got the highest score of 93%. PRC said 1,717 out of 3,712 examinees passed the exams.

The top performing schools with 50 or more examinees with at least 80% passing percentage are Sorsogon State College (84.93) and Batangas State University-Alangilan (81.97).

The exams were held in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

The commission said the registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card and Certification of Registration will be done online from June 13 to 17, and June 20 to 24.

However, successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
