UNVACCINATED NOT ALLOWED TO ATTEND F2F CLASSES, SAYS CHED

/ 4 December 2021

THE COMMISSION on Higher Education maintained that unvaccinated students and faculty will not be allowed to join the limited face-to-face classes.

“There’s no discrimination since all have the opportunity to participate in classes. Unvaccinated will not be allowed to attend face-to-face classes to protect the vaccinated faculty and students,” CHED Chairman Prospero De Vera III said.

According to De Vera, at least 82.45 percent of personnel in higher education institutions in public and private universities have received their Covid19 jabs.

About 45.91 percent of the students have been vaccinated.

He said that the number of attendees of physical classes will depend on how the campuses were retrofitted.

De Vera said that campuses must improve their facilities in compliance with health protocols.

“Retrofitting doesn’t mean you need to construct new facilities. They will only need to improve the facilities for safety reasons and ensure that there is good ventilation,” he said.
