PRESIDENTIAL Adviser for Entrepreneurship Joey Concepcion on Wednesday maintained that only vaccinated children should be allowed to attend face-to-face classes.

“We should not allow unvaccinated children to go to face-to-face classes because that might add to our problems,” Concepcion said during the Laging Handa news briefing.

“I think sang-ayon naman ang lahat diyan pati ang may-ari ng mga eskuwelahan, that everybody, including teachers and students to be fully vaccinated before face-to-face classes to be allowed,” he added.

On Monday, Education Secretary Leonor Briones expressed optimism that physical classes will continue amid the pandemic.

Briones noted that there was no single Covid19 incident reported during the pilot run of face-to-face classes in selected schools.

The department is assessing the initial run of physical classes. The report will be submitted to President Rodrigo Duterte.

The DepEd has directed all public and private schools to prepare for the implementation of the expanded phase of physical classes targeted to start in early 2022.

The expanded phase shall cover all grade levels from Kinder to Grade 12.
