/ 21 December 2022

THE TECHNICAL Education and Skills Development Authority got the highest approval and trust ratings among all government agencies in the PAHAYAG 2022 End of the Year survey by PUBLiCUS Asia.

The survey showed that TESDA got 72 percent approval rating, higher than its previous 68 percent rating in the Publicus’ third quarter survey.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines secured the second spot with 68 percent while the Department of Education, Department of Social Welfare and Development and Department of Tourism tied on the third spot with 65 percent each.

TESDA was also the most trusted government agency, securing a 60 percent rating, four points higher than its third-quarter rating of 56 percent.

It was followed by DepEd and AFP both with 57 percent trust ratings.

While the skills agency has consistently been among the top government agencies in the PUBLiCUS Asia surveys, this is the first time in 2 years that the agency has excelled in both trust and approval ratings.

“I thank Filipinos for their continued support of Tesda. We commit to improving our existing programs by providing quality and relevant skills training to Filipinos,” TESDA Director General Danilo Cruz said.

The PUBLiCUS Asia PAHAYAG 2022 End of the Year survey was conducted from November 25 to 30 with 1,500 respondents nationwide.
