TESDA RESUMES LIMITED FACE-TO-FACE TRAINING, ASSESSMENT IN METRO MANILA

/ 22 September 2021

THE TECHNICAL Education and Skills Development Authority has resumed face-to-face training and competency assessment in the National Capital Region.

“I encourage all TESDA field offices and training institutions to strictly enforce the compliance to the public health and safety protocols and reinforcement of contact tracing systems as face-to-face training and assessment resumes,” TESDA Director General Isidro Lapeña said.

He issued a circular dated September 16 containing the guidelines on the pilot implementation of Alert Level System for Covid19 response in the NCR.

The agency will suspend in-person training and assessment in areas under Alert Level 5 or granular lockdown. In areas under Alert Level 4 to 2, training and assessment will be allowed up to 50 percent capacity while 100 percent capacity will be allowed in areas placed under Alert Level 1.

Training and assessment on qualifications that require human contact like Massage Therapy, Hilot and other Beauty Care-related programs will not be allowed regardless of the alert level.

No face-to-face training or assessment will be allowed in areas under Enhanced Community Quarantine and Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine.

Lapeña encouraged applicants who want to undergo training or assessment to contact their nearest TESDA office.
