TESDA OPENS ANOTHER ASSESSMENT CENTER IN NCR

/ 3 September 2021

THE TECHNICAL Education and Skills Development Authority opened another assessment center for Domestic Work NC II in the National Capital Region.

TESDA director general Isidro Lapeña personally led the inauguration of TESDA PaMaMariSan (Pasig, Mandaluyong, Marikina, San Juan) Training and Assessment Center in Marikina City on August 31.

Lapeña acknowledged the need to put up more assessment centers for Domestic Work NC II because many Filipinos want to work abroad.

“Kailangan nating matulungan ang ating mga kababayang nagnanais magtrabaho bilang foreign domestic workers. Dapat masiguro natin na sapat ang kanilang kaalaman at kasanayan at sila ay competent bago sila umalis ng bansa,” he said.

This is the sixth assessment center for Domestic Work NC II in NCR. The others are TESDA-Navotas Training Institute in Navotas, TESDA Women’s Center, and Pasay-Makati District Training and Assessment Center (PMDTAC) both in Taguig City, Quezon City Lingkod Bayan Skills Development Center, and in TESDA Manila Training and Assessment Center.

The agency earlier said that it anticipates more applicants for Domestic Work assessment this year.
