TESDA CHIEF LAUDED FOR ADVANCING TECH-VOC TRAINING

TECHNICAL Education and Skills Development Authority director general Isidro Lapeña was recognized by the association of technical and vocational schools and institutions for his initiatives and programs in advancing technical vocational education and training in the country.

Lapeña received a plaque of recognition from the National Association of TESDA Technology Institutions during the agency’s two-day 17th General Directorate Conference held in Clark, Pampanga on June 17.

He was commended for his transformational leadership, invaluable interventions and unwavering support to TTIs and TESDA-administered schools specially in strengthening their manning complement, improving their physical infrastructures, increasing their scholarship allocation and expansion of program offerings.

Further, he was recognized for establishing regional and provincial training centers that resulted in higher absorption capacity, better delivery of TVET and making itmore inclusive.

“To the incoming administration, let it be known that you will be transmitting this agency not less but greater and more beautiful than it was transmitted to you,” NATTI President and RTC-La Union Administrator Artemio Pulido said.

Lapeña was also commended for his initiatives to advance the welfare of the agency’s workforce, specifically in creating new plantilla positions and provincial and regional training centers. The commendation was given by the TESDA Association of Concerned Employees.

“The success of TESDA for the past years is because of every TESDAns working hard beyond the call of duty. I hope that you continue to serve our kababayans with such dedication” the TESDA chief said.
