LUSOT na sa Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso ang dalawa pang panukala para sa pag-tatayo ng dagdag na Technnical Education and Skills Development Authority training centers.

Inaprubahan ng mga kongresista sa third and final reading ang House Bills 7685 at 7686 para sa pagtatayo ng  TESDA Training Centers sa Paniqui, Tarlac at sa mga munisipalidad ng Bayog at Guipos sa Zamboanga del Sur.

Pangunahing may akda ng mga panukala sina Representatives Mark Go, Eric Go Yap,  Rodante Marcoleta at Leonardo Babasa Jr.

Layon ng mga panukala na mas maraming estudyante at local residents mula sa low income families, out-of-school youth, gayundin ang persons with disabilities at indigenous people ang mabigyan ng oportunidad na sumalang sa mga programa ng TESDA.

Batay sa magkahiwalay na panukala, magkakaroon ng research and technology hubs, technol-ogy development farms, satellite o extension training centers at traning programs upang pala-kasin ang koneksiyon ng industry partners, academe at ng TESDA Center.

Magbibigay rin ang mga TESDA Center ng training sa mga guro at curriculum designs sa sec-ondary schools na may technical-vocational livelihood track sa ilalim ng K to 12 Program.

“The creation of the said centers would help students and local residents from low-income fami-lies and out-of-school youth, including persons with disabilities and indigenous peoples in the are-as to become productive, self-reliant and globally competitive labor assets. This is also a step towards recovery from the economic hardships brought by the pandemic,” pahayag ng mga kongresista sa pag-apruba sa dalawang panukala.
