TEACHERS GET THEIR DUE CASH ALLOWANCES, BENEFITS, SAYS DEPED

THE DEPARTMENT of Education announced the good news that public school teachers will receive thousands of cash allowances and benefits for 2021.

THE DEPARTMENT of Education announced the good news that public school teachers will receive thousands of cash allowances and benefits for 2021.

The cash allowances to be received are as follows:

– P2,000 a month for each teacher under Personal Economic Relief Allowance

– P6,000 per year for uniform allowance

–  P1,000 for World Teacher’s Day Incentive

– P5,000 per year under Productivity Enhancement

– P5,000 cash gift per year

– P1,000 Loyalty Cash Incentive for the qualified teachers

– P5,000 cash allowance per year

– P3,000 transportation allowance per month

– P5,000 per year as teaching aid allowance of Alternative Learning System teachers

– P5,000 – P14,000 for the Representation Allowance and Transportation Allowance, depending on the position of the teacher.

Teachers will also receive a mid-year bonus equal to their monthly salaries and a year-end bonus to be received on Oct. 31.

They will be given Special Hardship Allowance every month that will not exceed 25 percent of their annual basic salary, and a Honoraria for Teaching Overload, which is 25 percent of their basic salary.

For teachers who have been in service for three years, it has a Step Increment Due to Length of Service, depending on what they will receive on their salary grade table.
