SENATOR TRUSTS DEPED OFFICIALS’ JUDGMENT ON RETURN TO OLD SCHOOL CALENDAR
SENATOR Christopher “Bong” Go is confident that Department of Education officials will thoroughly study the proposal to revert to the old school calendar to spare learners from the scorching heat in schools during the dry season.
“We will leave that to our education officials. Alam kong pinag-aaralan na po nila ito. They will form a group to study the proposal to return to the old academic calendar where school breaks run from April to May,” Go said in an interview.
He said that DepEd officials know what’s best for the students.
He, however, appealed to the officials to prioritize the health and safety of the students.
