SENATOR Imee Marcos filed a measure that seeks to establish a Philippine Science High School Campus in Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur as part of Zamboanga Peninsula Region Campus.

In filing Senate Bill 2011, Marcos aims to stimulate optimistic drive among students who have interest in the field of science and technology.

The measure also seeks to maintain, support a complete and integrated system of education that is relevant to the needs of the people and society.

“This would ensure that the youth of Zamboanga del Sur and neighboring provinces are provided with accessible and quality education,” Marcos said in her explanatory note.

Under the measure, the Philippine Science High School-Labangan Campus shall be integrated into the Philippine Science High School System.
