SENATOR SEEKS ESTABLISHMENT OF TESDA TRAINING CENTER IN QC

SENATOR Imee Marcos filed a measure that will establish a Technical Education and Skills Development Training and Assessment Center in Quezon City.

In filing Senate Bill 1902, Marcos said the city, which had been tagged as the most populous in the country, should have its own TESDA Training and Assessment Center.

In her explanatory note, the senator said a cornerstone of progress is high-quality education.

She said people can transcend the boundaries of oppression and overcome generational poverty when they have access to quality education.

The senator added that it is the responsibility of the state to create, support, and maintain a comprehensive, appropriate, and integrated system of education that is in line with the needs of the populace and society.
