SENATOR PUSHES CREATION OF PH ENTREPRENEURS ACADEMY
SENATOR Cynthia Villar filed a measure that seeks to create a school dedicated to entrepreneurs.
Villar said that by arming aspiring entrepreneurs with essential skills, knowledge and resources, the government can embolden them to drive economic growth, create employment opportunities, and contribute significantly to national development.
Senate Bill 2229 or the proposed Philippine Entrepreneurs Academy Act seeks to create the entrepreneurs school which will offer undergraduate and graduate degree programs that are designed to refine and strengthen the core competencies of budding Filipino entrepreneurs.
“Establishing the Philippine Entrepreneurs Academy represents an instrumental step toward cultivating a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem in our country,” Villar said in her explanatory note.
The proposed Philippine Entrepreneurs Academy harbors the potential to catalyze a paradigm shift among young individuals, inspiring them to explore self-employment as a viable alternative to traditional employment.
“It can also stimulate the inception of impactful businesses, from high-value enterprise to MSMEs, thereby strengthening the nation’s economic fabric,” Villar added.
