SENATOR Bam Aquino underscored the sacrifices of Filipino parents and students in pursuing education, saying every graduation reflects years of hard work, perseverance, and hope.

In a social media post, Aquino shared that he feels a deep sense of excitement whenever he speaks before thousands of students, parents, and teachers during graduation ceremonies, noting that he, too, feels part of the celebration.

The senator pointed to the emotional moments often seen during graduations, especially parents quietly watching with tears of joy and pride as their children receive diplomas and medals.

Aquino said many parents he has met across the country share a simple yet heartfelt dream — for at least one of their children to finish school.

These encounters, he said, have strengthened his commitment to advocate for free college education, as many Filipino families continue to struggle with the high cost of schooling.
