THE SENATE Committees on Basic Education and Finance approved a measure that will establish a national high school in Barangay Bolila, Malita, Davao Occidental.

The two committees endorsed for Senate plenary deliberations without amendments House Bill 6697 which was earlier passed on third reading at the House of Representatives.

The bill seeks to build Bolila National High School to accommodate students from the barangay and other neighboring communities.

The measure aims to give incoming high school students in Bolila a chance to pursue secondary education without having to travel far.

The school will be an independent and separate school and will be given equal opportunities to compete academically with other national high schools.
