THE DEPARTMENT of Education on Tuesday announced that School Year 2022-2023 will formally start on August 22.

In DepEd Order 34, s. 2022, Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio said that the new school year will have 203 school days and will end on July 7, 2023.

Enrollment for the incoming school year will be from July 25 to August 22, while the Brigada Eskwela and Oplan Balik Eskwela will be from August 1 to 26 and August 15, respectively.

The first quarter is set from August 22, 2022 to November 5, 2022; the second quarter is from November 7, 2022 to February 3, 2023; the third quarter is from February to April 28, 2023, and the fourth quarter from May 2 to July 7, 2023.

The DepEd said Christmas break shall begin on December 19, 2022 while classes will resume on January 4, 2023. A midyear break is also scheduled from February 6, 2023 to February 10, 2023.

Meanwhile, remedial classes will be held from July 17, 2023 to August 26, 2023.
