SAN JUAN MAYOR GIVES AWAY FREE SHOES TO DAYCARE STUDENTS

/ 6 December 2023

ON HIS 46th birthday, San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora distributed free leather shoes to public daycare center pupils on Tuesday at the San Juan Gym.

Zamora was joined by CHG Global Inc. Chairman Ahan Chong and CHG Global Inc. President Barny Chong as well as Vice Mayor Agcaoili and the city councilors.

A total of 1,109 pairs of Easy Soft shoes were given to children ages 4-6 years old, who are also enrolled in daycare centers run by the local government.

“Ako po ay nagpapasalamat sa Diyos dahil biniyayaan tayo ng 46 years kaya patuloy tayo na gumagawa ng paraan para mabalik ang biyaya sa mga San Juaneño,” Zamora said.

“We would like to thank Mayor Zamora for enabling us to support the students. We are glad to provide our daycare students with our flagship product, EasySoft, they are durable, water-resistant, and practical, and the students will love them. San Juan, you are very lucky to have a young and progressive mayor,” Chong said.

Zamora also announced that K to 12 students will soon receive shoes from the city as well after receiving their free uniforms last year. Daycare students will also receive school uniforms.

“Asahan ninyo na gagawin natin ang lahat upang maitaas ang antas ng pamumuhay ng bawat San Juaneño lalo na ang mga Kabataan,” he said.

The birthday shoe distribution is just one of the many programs that Mayor Zamora has in store for San Juaneños for his 46th birthday.

On December 2, the local government also conducted a birthday bloodletting program and free pneumococcal and flu vaccination to senior citizens and persons with comorbidities. Blood donors received gift bags in turn for their selfless acts.
