RED CROSS VACCINATES UP MANILA STUDENTS

/ 27 November 2021

THE PHILIPPINE Red Cross vaccinated the medical students of the University of the Philippines Manila on Friday.

“We are looking to vaccinate around 300 students that encompass students from the seven colleges around the campus,” the PRC Health Services said.

The initiative was made through the collaboration of the PRC – Manila Chapter and Upsilon Sigma Phi, of which PRC Chairman Richard Gordon is a member.

“The Red Cross recognizes the role of UP Manila in shaping the future health workers of the country. We have deployed our Bakuna Bus here to protect the next generation of doctors, nurses, and medical personnel, as face-to-face classes begin,” Gordon said in a statement.

Red Cross supports the government’s push for face-to-face classes.

On August 24, 2021, the Red Cross sent a bakuna bus to the Philippine General Hospital in UP Manila to vaccinate at least 300 individuals from the A1 to A5 Covid19 priority groups.
