RED CROSS, UP HOLD BLOODLETTING ACTIVITY

/ 17 December 2022

THE PHILIPPINE Red Cross has partnered with the officials and several organizations from the University of the Philippines to conduct a bloodletting activity.

The event, held at the Palma Hall of the university, was a joint effort of the UP Office of the President, PAUW-UP Chapter, NOWHERETOGOBUTUP Foundation Inc., and #SAMASAMATULONGTULONG.

Dubbed as “Maroon Love for Christmas,” the activity generated 558 blood units for the Red Cross.

PRC Chairman Richard Gordon thanked the donors and the UP team led by Atty. Gaby Concepcion of the UP College of Law.

“Your volunteerism as blood donors will definitely help save the lives of our fellow Filipinos during medical emergencies,” Gordon said.

Meanwhile, PRC Secretary General Gwendolyn Pang said that while the holidays are known to be lean periods for blood donations, PRC remains committed to saving lives by conducting blood donation drives anytime.

“We are always ready to partner with organizations that want to organize a blood donation drive,” said Pang.
