RED CROSS READIES FOR PEDIATRIC JABS

/ 6 November 2021

THE PHILIPPINE Red Cross has prepared two of its vaccination centers for the inoculation of minors without comorbidities aged 12 to 17.

The Department of Health and the city government of Mandaluyong inspected the bakuna centers located in the Philippine Red Cross Logistics and Multipurpose Center and EDSA Boni on November 5, 2021.

The PRC will administer Pfizer and Moderna doses for pediatric vaccinations.

“Once we receive accreditation, we aim to begin pediatric vaccinations on November 6, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon with around initial 30-50 clients. Our succeeding schedules will be every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday depending on the supply provided by the government,” PRC said.

PRC’s 1158 hotline will accommodate calls for the Red Cross pediatric vaccination program and will be headed by its health services department.

“The best protection against Covid19 is to get vaccinated. By being vaccinated, you will not only be able to take good care of yourself but protect your family, friends, and your community as well,” PRC Chairman Senator Richard Gordon said.
