PRC EYES ONLINE LICENSURE EXAMS

/ 3 October 2020

THE PROFESSIONAL Regulatory Commission is considering holding online licensure exams because of the continuing threat of the  Covid19 pandemic.

During the Senate deliberations of the PRC budget, commission chairman Teofilo Pilando said the agency is eyeing ‘more technology-based examinations’.

“We’re thinking of using more technology-based examinations but we are to begin operation for that,” Pilando said when asked if they would conduct online exams.

He added that the commission might start with smaller board exams since these are more ‘manageable’.

Most of the licensure exams scheduled this year have been postponed to 2021.

These include examinations scheduled in October and November.
