PASIG TURNS OVER GADGETS TO PLP STUDENTS

THE PASIG City government on Wednesday handed tablets and laptops to students and employees of the Pamantasang Lungsod ng Pasig.

The city distributed 3,500 tablets to students and 70 laptops to teaching and non-teaching personnel of the university.

Pasig City Mayor Victor Regis ‘Vico’ Sotto led the distribution. He was joined by Rep. Roman Romulo, and Councilors Corie Raymundo, Rodrigo Asilo, Bing Avis, Rhichie Brown, Junjun Concepcion, Yoyong Martires, Ory Rupisan, Joy San Buenaventura and Willy Sityar.

A representative from the students, parents, faculty and non-teaching staff were present during the turnover.

Sotto thanked PLP President Amihan April Alcazar and its administration for adjusting to the changes needed to respond to the pandemic.

The city government earlier turned over tablets and laptops for elementary and high school students.

A total of 140,000 tablets were given to elementary students while 5,000 laptops were distributed to senior high school students and teachers.
