OVER 25K MINORS GET COVID19 JABS IN MANILA

THE CITY government of Manila has vaccinated more than 25,000 minors aged 12 to 17 against Covid19.

Based on the city’s data, 25,497 minors have received their first dose of vaccine since pediatric inoculation started on October 22.

The hospitals selected to lead the vaccination are Sta. Ana Hospital, Ospital ng Maynila, Gat Andres Bonifacio, Justice Jose Abad Santos, Ospital ng Sampaloc, and Ospital ng Tondo.

The city also tapped the Lucky Chinatown Mall, SM Manila, SM San Lazaro, and Robinsons Place Manila as vaccination sites.

So far, the city government has administered about 3,332 doses of Pfizer for adolescents including those without comorbidities.

The national government aims to vaccinate at least 80 percent of 12.7 million children before yearend.

The Department of Health earlier said that there were about 1.2 million adolescents with health risks nationwide.
