OVER 1.2M KIDS AGED 5 TO 11 GET COVID19 JABS

THE GOVERNMENT has vaccinated 1,233,017 children aged 5 to 11 against Covid19, a health official said on Wednesday.

Of these, 381,433 kids below 11 years old have been fully inoculated, Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said.

“Sa kabilang banda, 9.7 million na ang bakunadong 12 to 17 years old,” she added.

The health official assured the parents that the government continues to procure appropriate Covid19 jabs for their kids.

The Philippines on Tuesday received an additional 868,140 doses of Pfizer for 12 years old and above.

The DoH said that health experts are still finalizing the guidelines on the administration of Sinovac vaccine on children aged 6 to 17.

The Food and Drug Administration last week granted emergency use authorization for Sinovac vaccine for children.
