NUMBER OF DAYCARE PUPILS IN PASIG DOWN

/ 25 February 2021

PASIG City Mayor Vico Sotto disclosed that the number of daycare enrollees in the city has decreased because of the coronavirus pandemic.

“Distribution of learning materials for our 5,851 daycare students bumaba ng kaunti ang enrollment, mula sa 6,514, dahil sa pandemya,” Sotto said in a social media post.

Meanwhile, the city government has also extended assistance to private schools  so that they can continue their operations amid the Covid19 pandemic.

The city government also extended scholarship to students who are enrolled in private schools in the city.

“This schoolyear, 3,000 out of 18,000 scholars were identified by private school administrators,” the mayor said.

“We invited their teachers to a certificate course on online learning. Waived ang regulatory fees until such time that face-to-face is allowed again,” he added.
