NAVOTAS SCHOOLS 100 % COMPLETE IN DISTRIBUTION OF LEARNING TOOLS

/ 21 September 2020

THE DEPARTMENT of Education commended its division office in Navotas City for the successful distribution of learning packages that students will use when classes formally start on October 5.

The DepEd said that all 24 public elementary and secondary schools in Navotas distributed the learning packages called Navoschool Boxes.

The distribution started on September 7 and ended on September 15.

The DepEd said that 48,635 or 95 percent of the 49,628 enrolled learners in the city have received their learning packages.

The parents physically picked up the Navoschool Boxes containing textbooks, Self-Learning Modules good for one month, activity sheets, school supplies, and hygiene kits observing strict health protocols.

Navoschool boxes that were not claimed will be sent to students through the Hatid Aral Project wherein barangay personnel will deliver the learning packets.

The production and delivery of Navoschool boxes were made possible by the initiative of the local government through Mayor Toby Tiangco, Rep. John Rey Tiangco, and Vice Mayor Clint Geronimo, along with city councilors, LGU department heads, and barangay officials.
