MUNTINLUPA CITY PARTNERS WITH DOLE TO ESTABLISH JOB PLACEMENT OFFICE FOR STUDENTS
THE CITY government of Muntinlupa and the Department of Labor Employment in National Capital Region have signed an agreement for the establishment of a job placement office at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa for students.
Sarah Mirasol, DOLE-NCR regional director, said that the project will help create more employment opportunities for students.
“With this partnership, we look forward to a more holistic approach in the implementation of DOLE’s youth-employment bridging program for the students of PLMUN,” she said.
“Apart from our flagship programs for the youth, it is also essential that we continue working together in coming up with innovative programs for students that are aligned with the new normal,” she added.
DOLE-NCR offers the youth-employment bridging programs such as Labor Market Information advocacies through Career Guidance and Employment Coaching, Job Referral and Placement, Labor Education for Graduating Students, JobStart Life Skills Training Program, and Special Program for the Employment of Students.
The job placement office will serve as an employment hub for the students and alumni of the university. It will also extend its services to educational institutions in neighboring cities of Taguig, Parañaque and Las Piñas.
Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi, chairman of the PLMUN Board of Regents, instructed Public Employment Service Office Manager Glenda Aniñon to coordinate with DOLE-NCR for the creation of the office.
