MMDA TO MINORS: STAY AT HOME

/ 5 January 2022

METRO Manila residents below 18 years old are not allowed to go out of their residence except when buying essential goods, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said on Tuesday.

“They should remain in their residences at all times, except for the procurement of essential goods and services,” MMDA Chairman Benhur Abalos said during the Laging Handa briefing.

“However, outdoor exercises shall be allowed within the general area of residence,” he said, noting that unvaccinated children are also not allowed in restaurants and malls.

“The resolution shall be in force and effect while the Covid19 alert level in the NCR is Alert Level 3 or higher and shall be automatically lifted once Alert Level 2 or lower is declared,” he said.

Metro Manila will be under Alert Level 3 until January 15 amid surging Covid19 cases.
