MMDA REROUTES TRAFFIC FOR BAR EXAMS

/ 2 February 2022

THE METROPOLITAN Manila Development Authority will reroute the traffic in certain parts of Manila during the conduct of the 2020 and 2021 Bar examinations.

MMDA said that the rerouting will happen in some districts around the University of Sto. Tomas, Far Eastern University and De La Salle University.

Some roads near the universities will be closed to traffic on February 4 and 6 because of the exams.

The traffic in the westbound lane of España Boulevard, from Lacson Avenue to P. Naval Street, will be rerouted to A.H. Lacson Ave.

The southbound lane of Taft Avenue, from Quirino Avenue to Estrada St. will also be closed.

A stop-and-go traffic scheme and no parking within the vicinity of the venue will also be implemented, MMDA said.

The last two Bar exams were suspended by the Supreme Court due to the Covid19 situation in the country.

The Supreme Court has identified 29 Bar examination sites across the country for at least 11,000 examinees.
