THE LOCAL governments of Pateros, Taguig and Manila have opened the pre-registration for Covid19 jabs for children aged 5 to 11.

Taguig residents may register via trace.taguig.gov.ph or Trace kiosks.

The city said that it will start giving jabs as soon as the Department of Health releases the guidelines.

In Pateros, parents or guardians may register their children through the QR code posted in their official Facebook page and register.

Meanwhile, Manila Mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso urged parents to have their kids vaccinated against Covid19.

The Food and Drug Administration has approved Pfizer vaccine for the age group.

The Department of Health said that the National Covid19 Vaccination Operations Center will announce when Covid19 vaccines suitable for those aged 5 to 11 are available.

“While waiting for Covid19 vaccines to be rolled out for this pediatric group, we recommend that children complete their routine vaccination to be protected from more contagious and fatal diseases, like measles, rubella, tetanus, and diphtheria,” the department said.
