MARGINALIZED STUDENTS TO BE PRIORITIZED FOR  F2F CLASSES

/ 7 September 2021

THE DEPARTMENT of Education on Monday said that marginalized students will be prioritized in the selection of learners who will participate in limited face-to-face classes.

Education Undersecretary and Chief of Staff Nepomuceno Malaluan said children who lack learning support will be in the priority list.

Malaluan noted that teachers have made a list of students who need to attend physical classes.

Students and parents, he said, will have at least one week orientation to prepare them for the conduct of F2F classes.

“All of those protocols that we are familiar with will be strictly followed in the operationalization of the pilot face-to-face,” the official said.

The DepEd and Department of Health will draw the guidelines for the holding of limited physical classes in 120 schools subject to the approval of President Rodrigo Duterte.
