PRESIDENT Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’  Marcos Jr. on Tuesday said that the government is eyeing full face-to-face classes in November this year.

“There are some things that are immediately accessible in the sense that we can start doing something about it already. The first thing that is an example of that was Inday Sara’s announcement that we have a plan for full face-to-face (classes) by November of this year,” he said after the first Cabinet meeting.

The President noted that starting September, the Department of Education will start a phased physical schooling.

However, he said that vaccination against Covid19 and other issues will be raised before the planned in-person classes.

“We have to talk about vaccination… because there are going to be some issues that will be raised,” Marcos added.

The DepEd earlier said that face-to-face classes will push through in the next school year even if the alert status in some places will be raised to Alert Level 2.

As of May, the department said that at least 73 percent of public schools have resumed physical classes.
