MANILA SET TO DISTRIBUTE GADGETS TO PUBLIC SCHOOLS
MANILA is set to start distributing tablets and laptops next week to public school teachers and students to be used for blended learning strategy.
In a Facebook post, the Manila Public Information Office said pocket wifi devices will also be given to teachers while SIM cards with 10GB data allocation will be handed to students.
This was after Mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso and Cherry chief executive officer Maynard Ngu signed a memorandum of agreement on August 17.
“This effort of your city government is to help every student and teacher to continue studying and adapt to the new normal of education.
The city was able to produce 11,000 laptops with pocket wifi devices for teachers and 136,950 tablets for students.
