LAWYER AND EDUCATOR GUEST LECTURER AT PNPA

ATTY. Ricardo Blancaflor was the guest lecturer for the graduating cadets of the Philippine National Police Academy Class 2023 where he discussed the Cybercrime Prevention Act on December 5, 2022 in Silang, Cavite.

PNPA Director Police Brigadier Eric Noble said that the cadets gained additional knowledge from his lecture.

Blancaflor has been a practicing lawyer since 1981, when he joined the Romulo Mabanta Buenaventura Sayoc & Delos Angeles Law Firm, where he specialized in corporate, labor, taxation, maritime, tariff, real estate, political and election cases.

He was the Bar Examiner in Commercial Law in 2013. He is also a Bar Exam lecturer/reviewer at the Philippine Christian University, a lecturer in the Philippine Judicial Academy on Corporate Rehabilitation, Human Rights, and Extra-Judicial Killings, a member of the Supreme Court Rules Committee on Cybercrime and Corporate Rehabilitation, and a Mandatory Continuing Legal Education lecturer at the UP Law Center.

Blancaflor has also lectured at the United Nations Office for Crime and Drugs in Vienna, Austria; MI-6 in the United Kingdom; and is the co-author of the book “International Intellectual Property and the ASEAN Way – Pathways to Interoperability” published by Cambridge University in October 2017.

Blancaflor earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Bachelor of Laws from the Ateneo De Manila University.
