LAWMAKER SEES EDCOM 2 AS ANSWER TO EDUCATION CRISIS

/ 31 July 2022

SENATOR Joel Villanueva is hopeful the creation of a new commission will help solve the education crisis in the country.

This came about after Republic Act 11899 or the Second Congressional Commission on Education lapsed into law last week.

In light of this, a three-year review and assessment of the country’s education system will be constructed as it shifted to distance learning amid the Covid19 pandemic.

The EDCOM 2 studies the mandates of the Department of Education, Commission on Higher Education, and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.
