SENATE Committee on Health chairman Christopher ‘Bong’ Go on Saturday proposed the assigning of health safety officers in schools for the resumption of face-to-face classes.

Go stressed his proposal is for the welfare of students, teachers, and school personnel, and to curb the rising number of Covid19 cases in the country.

The senator said while he agrees with the resumption of face-to-face classes in select areas, the government must still prioritize the health and safety of the students.

Starting November 2, all public and private schools are expected to transition to the usual five-day in-person classes.
