LAWMAKER: ALL SCHOOLS SHOULD HOLD PHYSICAL GRADUATION RITES
ACT Teachers Party-list Rep. France Castro on Wednesday urged the Commission on Higher Education to issue a resolution on the conduct of in-person graduation ceremonies.
ACT Teachers Party-list Rep. France Castro on Wednesday urged the Commission on Higher Education to issue a resolution on the conduct of in-person graduation ceremonies.
“I don’t see any reason why some schools are not allowing face-to-face graduation. Nag-declare na nga ang IATF na sa Alert Level 1 puwede na ang 100 percent capacity sa mga venue,” Castro said in a Viber message to The POST.
She was referring to the decision of the InterAgency Task Force to amend its policies to allow 100 percent capacity in public places or venues.
The lawmaker called on all universities and schools to conduct face-to-face graduation ceremonies to allow students and parents to enjoy their achievements.
Castro believes that conducting face-to-face ceremonies is good for the mental health of students who were stuck in their homes for more than two years.
“At saka ma-feel din ng mga bata, maging proud sa kanilang achievents. Enough na ‘yung 2 years na online classes,” she said.
