LAGUNA SCHOOL DIVISION OFFICE ON 5-DAY LOCKDOWN
THE SCHOOLS Division Office of Laguna will be placed under a five-day lockdown as precautionary measures following the increase of Covid19 cases in the province.
According to the report of the Laguna Provincial Health Office, the entire province has 2,570 active cases, 4,513 suspected cases and 79 probable cases of Covid19 as of August 20.
“As part of the SDO’s contingency plan and as per the National Task Force COVID-19 Memorandum Circular No. 2 s. 2020 dated June 15, 2020 which provides the declaration of a lockdown of a geographic unit if at least one cluster of cases of either a suspect, probable and/or confirmed COVID-19 is present, the Schools Division Office of Laguna shall be placed on lockdown from August 24-28, 2020,” the memorandum stated.
SDO Laguna reiterated that it will monitor health condition of all employees who reported physically within the last 14 days to ensure that probable cases will be contained.
The office also emphasized that alternative work arrangements will be strictly implemented to ensure the health and safety of its employees.
Last August 19, the Department of Education announced that the central office was placed under a five-day lockdown after its employees contracted Covid19.
It said that there are 598 Covid19 cases in the DepEd’s teaching and non-teaching staff in all divisions while 11 are from the central office.
