THE Japanese Embassy in the country is currently accepting applications for the MEXT Scholarship Program 2024.

“Immerse yourself in the rich culture of Japan or enhance your teaching skills through this amazing opportunity,” the Embassy wrote on Facebook.

“Don’t miss out on this chance to broaden your horizons and experience Japan’s many charms! We look forward to receiving your applications!” it added.

There are two MEXT categories available for Filipino citizens aspiring to pursue their studies in Japan.

For the Teacher Training category, applicants are expected to be no older than 35 years old and should have completed a course related to teaching.

Additionally, they must have five years of teaching experience in primary or secondary schools as of October 1, 2024.

In the Japanese Studies category, applicants should be between 18 and 30 years old and currently enrolled in a non-graduate course majoring in Japanese Language or Japanese Culture.

The deadline for the submission of applications is on February 9, 2024.
