UNIVERSITIES and colleges may start conducting limited face-to-face classes in all degree programs in December, the Commission on Higher Education said.

However, educational institutions should ensure that all students and faculty are vaccinated against Covid19 and minimum health protocols are followed.

“Itong expanded face-to-face ay pagdagdag doon sa original na limited face-to-face para sa medical and allied health sciences, engineering, tourism at maritime na inaprubahan ng Pangulong Duterte, early this year,” CHED Chairman Prospero De Vera III said.

“Kailangan naka-retrofit iyong facilities nila. At kailangan may concurrence ng local government,” he said.

The CHED chief noted that universities and colleges can hold in-person classes as soon as they can meet the requirements.

“Kung sila ay handa na ay puwede na silang magsimula na kahit ngayong December,” he said.

The Inter-Agency Task Force Against Covid19 has allowed the resumption of physical classes in universities and colleges in areas below Alert Level 3.
