GLOBE HELPS OVER 67,000 TEACHERS AND STUDENTS IN DIGITAL LEARNING SPACE

/ 17 April 2021

OVER 67,000 public school teachers and students were able to navigate the digital learning space during the pandemic through the help of Globe Telecom Inc.

The telco provided P34 million worth of load and SIM cards and over 13,000 units of Home Prepaid WiFis and pocket WiFis to students and teachers.

“We always seek innovative ways to enable the delivery of quality education despite uncertain times,” Globe Chief Sustainability Officer and Senior Vice President for Corporate Communications Yoly Crisanto said.

The amount was donated to Ayala Foundation to provide connectivity to teachers and students from partner schools nationwide.

Globe subscribers also contributed P700,000 through GCash and Globe Rewards points.

Globe At Home’s WiFi2Teach program and Ayala Foundation this year distributed 2,000 Home Prepaid WiFi kits to different partner schools to help teachers deliver online learning modules.
