GATCHALIAN OPEN TO REVIEW OF K TO 12 PROGRAM

/ 11 July 2022

SENATOR Sherwin Gatchalian on Sunday said that he is open to a review of the K to 12 curriculum to ensure that the program’s goal of employment after graduation would be met.

Gatchalian said that going back to a 10-year schooling system is not the solution since it was not in line with global standards.

President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos has ordered a review of the implementation of the K to 12 program.

Gatchalian admitted graduates of the K to 12 program were “raw” and what was being taught was not suitable to the needs of the industry.
