FIRST LADY JOINS DEPED IN MARKING WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY

/ 6 October 2022

FIRST Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos on Wednesday joined Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio during the celebration of World Teachers’ Day in Abra.

Araneta-Marcos thanked the teachers for their sacrifices in educating the youth.

“They say that teaching is a noble profession. To be a good teacher, you have to be organized, you need to be patient, and you have to be humble enough to connect with your students. We are all grateful to you,” she said during the program themed “Gurong Pilipino, Dangal ng Sambayang Pilipino.”

Duterte-Carpio visited Bangued North Elementary School and distributed “PagbaBAGo” kits and food packs.

Maridel Filoteo, School Information Coordinator, said the kits will help the students especially since the school was among those damaged by the earthquake in July.

“Masayang-masaya ang buong Bangued North Elementary School na kami ang napiling eskwelahan na mabisita. It’s a privilege na ma-meet namin si VP-Secretary at masabi ang aming mga concern,” she said.
